BICTON College is offering three new equine courses for free.

BICTON College is offering three new equine courses for free.

The courses on offer are the BHS stage 1, which is the first step on a career ladder with an exam held at the end of the course, the NVQ level 1 in Horse Care is suitable for the practical person who would prefer continual assessment and the NPTC Safety with horses is a qualification for anyone over 16 years of age who enjoys being on a yard and handling horses.

The courses begin Thursday, January 15 with an open day on Thursday, January 8.

The programmes run from four to twenty weeks depending on the course.

For groups of ten or more people who would like to do the same course, the instructors will travel to a specific yard, and training for the NVQ course will be held near Barnstaple.
