Beer festival at the Bicton Inn, Exmouth

Weekend also sees the usual variety of live acoustic music, including an Irish session on Sunday night

The Bicton Inn is hosting a beer festival as well as the usual live music.

The festival runs from Thursday October 25 – Sunday 28 and will see 20 real ales on offer – the pub usually has eight.

Thursday is open mic night, with singers, musicians and poets welcome to come along and perform

On Friday night the singer-songwriter Guy Somerfield will play folk, rock and pub covers as well as his own material, with 12-string guitar and harmonica.

At 5pm on Saturday the young Exmouth band Telstar will be performing songs by acts including the Beatles, The Who, the Rolling Stones, the Killers, Green Day, Blink 182 and Muse.

On Sunday the early evening concert is chilled, traditional jazz by Fire Exit, and and 8pm there is another of the regular and very popular Irish sessions, hosted by Fanchea McKinley.
