Calling all women, men and children. An exciting five-mile midnight "Beach Prom Walk", being organised by The Anthony Nolan Trust, is now open for registration! The Anthony Nolan Star Trek is just one of the exciting events taking place to raise vital life-saving funds to help take back lives from leukaemia in Devon. This exciting moonlight walk, along the gorgeous shoreline of Exmouth Beach/Promenade on Saturday, April 25, will be the charity's first fun midnight walk and we look forward to seeing everyone join in the fun to light up the skies with us for a great night out. Every walker will receive a special star lit head bopper at the start of the event. There will also be a fun, motivational warm-up session during the hour before midnight strikes. The event is open to anyone over the age of eight, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Why not get a party together and bring your work colleagues/family/friends and help to make the event a real success? The Anthony Nolan Trust is an independent charity that takes back lives from leukaemia by managing and recruiting new donors to its bone marrow register, as well as undertaking vital research leading to improvements in the effectiveness and safety of bone marrow transplants. The charity annually saves the lives of hundreds of men, women and children with leukaemia by providing those in desperate need with volunteer donors from their bone marrow register in order to potentially save their life.Entry fees for the walk are £10 per person (or just £30 per group of four people). Places are on a first come, first served basis and it is essential to pre-register.
