Year six pupils from Bassetts Farm Primary School took a trip on the Exmouth Land Train as they prepare to move on to secondary school.
Children leaving Exmouth’s Bassetts Farm Primary School were treated to a surprise tour around the town.
Year six pupils, who will be going on to secondary schools next month, were transported around on the Exmouth Land Train.
They were taken down St John’s Road, along Withycombe Village Road, past Exmouth Hospital and into Salterton Road, before arriving at the seafront.
The school leavers also visited Ocean to take part in various activities.
Teacher Nikki Powley arranged the trip as a way of saying goodbye to the year group.
She said: “I organised it thinking it would be nice for the children as a treat, so I got all the parents to chip in with money.
“The children were so surprised and all the way down they were singing their leavers’ song.”
