In response to recent articles on the ASDA/Exe plans, I would argue that for every job created at Asda on The Exe there would a net loss of workers in the local community. What some may think of as progress is possibly too narrow, because 'quality of life' (ie The Exe wild environment) attracts tourism and business. If The Exe dies, so will the community which lives around it.Many developments in towns do not help the town's long-term development.
