I am a 12-year-old Exmouth Community College schoolboy and have lived in Exmouth for nearly 10 years and enjoyed many happy times, fishing, bird watching and swimming on the Exe estuary. Also relishing the peace and tranquillity. It horrifies me that the coming of ASDA is likely to wreck my pastimes, due to noise and waste pollution and destruction to wildlife habitats. Also, ASDA will be open 24 hours a day, therefore producing vast amounts of light pollution. The shoreline will not be the only thing to suffer as ASDA will sell everything. Nobody will have any need to buy from other shops in Exmouth. This will cause people to lose their business and jobs, leaving limited choice for shoppers who want variety.I feel very strongly about ASDA and I am sure there are other young people who feel the same as me. Every Saturday at the Magnolia Centre, from 10am to 2pm, there is a stall where you can find out more information. Please go along and get involved as it is not too late to stop it.Joel Down, aged 12, of Exmouth,(address withheld).
