Armed police seize weapon in early morning raid in Exmouth

Armed police seized a weapon from Albion Street in the early hours of Tuesday morning (August 7).

Devon and Cornwall Police responded at around 5.30am after receiving reports of a naked man in the area.

A police spokesman said a 42-year-old man was taken to hospital as a precaution after suffering a ‘medical episode’.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a man was arrested and taken into police custody on suspicion of being of possession of a firearm; he has been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.
