This week we take a look at photos from the archives of Exmouth and Withycombe Boys’ Brigade.
This week we take a look back at The Boys’ Brigade centenary celebrations of 1983 and how the Exmouth and Withycombe groups marked it.
Founded in Glasgow on October 4, 1883, by Sir William Alexander Smith, The Boys’ Brigade was the world’s first voluntary youth movement.
With ‘Sure and steadfast’ as its motto, the brigade’s number of companies worldwide is now at 1,400 with more than 50,000 young members in its ranks.
