Planning permission for a refreshment kiosk to be installed at Exmouth’s Orcombe Point has been granted by East Devon District Council.

The authority approved its own application for a kiosk to be installed, for a temporary period of up to three years, on a platform by the zig-zag path previously occupied by the old Orcombe Café.

The council previously said it hopes to eventually have a permanent café at Orcombe Point, but that the temporary solution could allow a café to open this summer.

Exmouth Town Council previously supported the planning application.
