So this ridiculous saga goes on!
The Longboat is delayed possibly for another year.
And the taxpayer may have to pay?
Why? It would seem to satisfy the wishes of a select band who can afford council.
So we will preserve a shed of doubtful historic interest instead of the town having an attraction for visitors and locals like me and many of my friends, who were looking forward to dining in a very agreeable atmosphere and view.
The numbers of supporters of this campaign who voted to keep the present construction were a low percentage and probably not the view of the town, who would not take kindly to extra taxation!
Why does the name ‘Colonel Blimp’ spring to mind?
