A kind-hearted group has raised almost £600 for a charity that aims to help donkeys and horses.
The Brooke animal welfare Topsham supporters’ group coffee morning at Matthews Hall was attended by around 60 people.
There were cakes, bric-a-brac, books, jewellery, plants and a raffle at the event.
Wendy Brookes, event organiser, praised the charity for its work.
She said: “The Brooke is a vital charity that does important work in developing countries around the world. They look after the welfare of horses and donkeys. People in the poorest countries depend on their animals.”
