A volunteer bus scheme, which takes people from Budleigh to Exmouth Hospital, is looking for new drivers.

The Hub Bus, which was financed by Parishes Together cash, takes people between Budleigh Salterton Hospital health and wellbeing hub and the hospital in Exmouth.

Exmouth and District Community Transport Group runs the service, which relies on day-to-day funding from league of friends organisations linked to both hospitals.

Jill Elson, chairman of the transport group, said: “We welcome more volunteers to join our team.

“We do not just need drivers, but also people who are willing to form a league of friends to fundraise for us and help with marketing the services we provide.

“It is a very inspirational and gratifying experience helping people to be independent.”

Anyone interested in becoming a driver must have a valid driving licence for manual drive cars and be at least 21 years old.
