Vital funds donated to an Exmouth pre-school by the town’s county councillors are set to be invested in looking after play equipment.

All Saints Pre-School, in Church Road, has been the beneficiary of a £1,500 cash boost thanks to councillors Richard Scott, Christine Channon and town mayor Jeff Trail who represent Exmouth at Devon County Council.

The £1,500 given to the pre-school is part of their joint county council locality budget.

Helena Meineck, All Saints pre-school manager, said the money will be used to maintain and repair equipment.

She added: “It will really help us as we need to do quite a lot of expensive work to keep the pre-school equipment, furniture and our very special secret garden in good repair.

“The money has already enabled us to buy a new shed for our outdoor toys, mend the fence in the outside area which had been torn down in the winds and, once the dry weather returns, we will be replacing the entire sensory wall in the secret garden.”
