A 10-year-old Budleigh girl says she is ‘shocked, proud, excited and happy’ to have had her logo design selected by a local GP practice.
Alida Sutera’s class at St Peter’s School was recently asked to design a new logo for the Budleigh Salterton Medical Centre.
Last week, the surgery presented Alida with a mug bearing her new logo design, and she was thanked by Dr Ben Hallmark at the practice.
The logo – which features the Red Cross, four chambers of the heart, a plaster in one corner, stethoscope in another, heartbeat on a heart monitor and stitches in the other – is now on display at the centre.
“Alida said she was shocked, proud, excited and happy,” said her grandmother, Lyn Pearce, from East Budleigh.
“I was extremely proud to think that her design out of all the others had been chosen. I think the design is extremely relevant to a doctor’s surgery.”
