Devon Air Ambulance has started to draw in crowds at its emergency night landing site on Budleigh Salterton Football Club’s pitch.
The air ambulance has landed on the ground three times in the 11 weeks since the site went live in January.
Budleigh Salterton Football Club secretary Keith Wood said: “The club’s neighbours in Greenway Lane are getting used to seeing the helicopter flying in.
“It has started drawing people in from the area to watch it land and take off as it looks fairly impressive under the floodlights.
“The club has always maintained the importance of the Devon Air Ambulance to the community, although if it lands again soon we may have to charge it a membership,” Keith joked.
