TOPSHAM, Exmouth and Exeter have joined forces to raise money for the injured servicemen who have served and are serving in Afghanistan and Iraq.Exeter City FC played against a team from the Royal Marines at St James' Park, Exeter. Before the match and during half time, The Royal Marines band played outside St James' centre while marine caterers cooked up curries in the Flybe Suite.Julian Tagg, the Grecians' vice-chairman, said: "Exeter City FC was proud and honored to be involved in staging this match." The money raised by this event will go to Help for Heroes and the RM Benevolent Fund.
