In reply to Ron Roberts letter about affordable housing (Journal, February 5). Back in the late 1960s/early '70s, I lived in Chichester when a whole estate of new, low-cost homes was built. These were offered to council tenants on a 100 per cent, no deposit mortgage. This freed up council homes for those on the waiting list, while at the same time enabling people to buy their own homes. Could this be partial solution to the problem of lack of affordable houses for Exmouth?Jean Gray,26 Hartopp Road, Exmouth
