Accident at Remembrance Sunday service

Emergency services were called to the Strand Gardens after a rocket went off accidentally during Remembrance Sunday commemorations.

Police said a rocket due to be used as part of the event went off by mistake.

Police added that two women feared they has suffered injuries, but did not require hospital treatment.

Having spoken to the person responsible for the rocket, police said the incident was an accident.
