The eighteenth century octagonal house, A la Ronde, on Summer Lane, welcomed Jenny Hoadley, from Bristol, who was treated to a cream tea in the Mary-Jane tea-room, renowned for its home baking.

Mrs Hoadley and her partner were visiting a friend who lives in Topsham when they decided to take a trip to the house, the last time she visited the property was in 1989, when it was privately owned, and she had always wanted to return.

A la Ronde will finish this season's open house on Sunday, November 2.
