I read with interest R Chambers' letter concerning horse riders in Hulham Road, Exmouth. Similar to him, I also claim to be a horse owner and drive along Hulham Road on a regular basis. It seems to me that Mr Chambers needs to take more interest in the Highway Code and his driving skills. He is quoted as slowing his car to 10mph, perhaps concentrating more on his speedometer than the road in front of him. It seems that he then stopped alongside these horse riders to lecture them on manners. His actions here would have caused an unnecessary traffic hold-up and a potential accident. The horse rider's response appears to be in true Princess Anne fashion. Good on this lady horse rider - she would no doubt receive 'Royal Approval' for her actions. Graham Staunton,Exeter.
