A councillor who listens and acts

May I, through your paper, thank EDDC Councillor Stephen Wragg. Your readers may not be aware that, on Tuesday, September 15, EDDC planning committee met to decide on the future of Seaton and which supermarket would be allowed to build in the town.

May I, through your paper, thank EDDC Councillor Stephen Wragg. Your readers may not be aware that, on Tuesday, September 15, EDDC planning committee met to decide on the future of Seaton and which supermarket would be allowed to build in the town.

Seaton people were clear that they wanted the Sainsbury's application and turned out in their hundreds to show the councillors this was what they wanted.

Unfortunately, all except Cllr Wragg completely ignored what the electorate wanted and allowed Tesco permission.

Exmouth - you have a rarity with Cllr Wragg - a politician who not only listens to the people of East Devon - but one who acts on their wishes.
