PEOPLE interested in the countryside had a surprise encounter with royalty last week.
Bicton College students were rebuilding a dry-stone wall as part of a trip to Lundy, Devon, between Tuesday, May 19 and Thursday, May 21, and got the chance to meet Prince Edward.
The national diploma in countryside management students were approached by the prince who talked to them to find out what they were doing.
Lecturer Katie Lakeman said: "The prince was very interested in the students study tour and asked several of them about their visit and the course they are on.
