A brighter town

Congratulations to all those of you who are putting so much effort into making Exmouth so much brighter with the array of flowers springing up from the street planters all around the town.
I am just 20 years old but even I could not help notice a council chap sweeping around a planter, and then washing down a litter bin close by.
This was outside the Iceland shop, and this area can look drab at times when compared with the likes of St Ives or Dartmouth which both have an old world charm that my family seem to love, but somehow this town seems to lack.
I am sure the many visitors in the town at this time of year must appreciate our Manor Gardens and the seafront when the sun brings out the best of the beaches.
What is a bonus is having so many cafés which people are able to sit outside and receive waitress service – at least this keeps the untidiness down to a minimum.
And we must try to protect the grass in this area of the Strand – if motors are allowed to drive or park on the lawns, they definitely will not last the year.
The chrome waste bins could do with a wash down, but certainly the team who have put so much work into Exmouth in Bloom should all take a bow.
Thank you all you volunteers for all the work that has been put in on behalf of the town.
