MANAGERS at Devon Cliffs Holiday Park have praised the calibre of candidates who attended a record-breaking recruitment day at the resort.

Some 850 job-seekers attended the special day at the five-star holiday park at Sandy Bay hoping to fill some 300 vacancies there for the summer season . Resort Director Paul Adkins said: "The quality of candidates who came along was good, which was very good to see .

"We organised a structured assessment programme for those who applied and were able to fill almost all of the vacancies.

"However we anticipate that we will very shortly be in a position to recruit another 25 Team Members and would welcome inquiries from people who have not previously applied for an application form."

He added most of the applicants came from Exmouth and the surrounding area and was particularly impressed with the wide age range of applicants.

"There is a lot to be said for experience and it is great to have a mixture of people, some who are starting out in the industry and others with a wide range of experience on our team, particularly in hospitality where brilliant customer relations are vital," he said.

Anyone interested in the forthcoming vacancies, who have not applied before, can contact the holiday park on 01395 226226 for an application form.
