Archant

Children and parents from Otterton Church of England Primary School Association have given a village church appeal a boost of nearly £4,000.

The SPACE (St Michael’s Parish And Community Endeavour) appeal was launched three years ago to save the building and transform it into a community hub while retaining its role as a place of worship.

The school association raised the money by donating a percentage of funds raised at a series of events, including a conker tournament, Mad Hatters’ parade and a fun run.

Jane Smith, from the SPACE steering group, received the cheque from Millie Picton, Rowan Stannard and Gracie Giles, of Otterton Primary School.
