PUBLIC anger following the controversial decision by Devon County Council not to buy Rolle College shows no signs of abating with a petition of over 3,000 signatures.
PUBLIC anger following the controversial decision by Devon County Council not to buy Rolle College shows no signs of abating with a petition of over 3,000 signatures.
Lib Dem county councillors Eileen Wragg and Brenda Taylor are still receiving hundreds of signatures each week calling for DCC to reconsider its decision.
"This issue shows no signs of dying down", said Cllr Wragg. "Clearly the leadership at County Hall has badly misjudged the strength of feeling in Exmouth and beyond, as well as the educational needs for local young people."
Cllr Taylor added: "The response has been overwhelming. Although we presented a petition to the Cabinet in November with over two and a half thousand signatures, that figure has now topped well over three thousand and is increasing daily.
