More than 20 properties are set to have their electricity supply interrupted as essential maintenance is carried out on the local power network.
National Grid Electricity Distribution has announced a planned power cut affecting 23 properties in Exmouth, with work scheduled to take place between 10am on Tuesday, October 27, and 3pm on Thursday, October 29.
The interruption is necessary to allow engineers to carry out maintenance at a substation, with properties in four postcode areas affected.

Although the published timeframe spans three days, the notice does not clarify whether electricity will be disconnected throughout the entire period or whether there will be shorter interruptions while work takes place.
In a message to affected customers, National Grid said: “We are planning to undertake essential work on our network and are very sorry if this power cut will cause you any inconvenience.
“We understand how difficult it can be without power and we only interrupt your supply where it is the last option.
“We will work hard to keep this power cut as short as possible.”
The company said regular substation maintenance was essential to maintaining a safe and reliable electricity network, with inspections, minor repairs and the correction of defects helping equipment reach its expected lifespan.
National Grid has advised affected residents to prepare ahead of the interruption by ensuring they have a working torch with spare batteries available.
Households are also encouraged to prepare flasks containing hot drinks and food that can be consumed without electricity, while freezer doors should be kept closed during any loss of supply.
The company said it aims to minimise disruption wherever possible and only interrupts supplies when necessary to complete work safely.
Residents requiring additional support during the planned interruption are encouraged to contact National Grid directly.
The planned work is listed under reference INCD-24506-t.
