Firefighters are gearing up for a heavyweight charity challenge as they prepare to haul an 18-tonne fire truck along the seafront in support of good causes.
The charity pull will take place on Tuesday, September 1, starting at 11am from Rockfish on Exmouth seafront before the crew makes its way to Sideshore.
Firefighters will pull the truck for the length of the route, with members of the public being encouraged to come along and support the team.
At Sideshore, an emergency services fair will run from 11am to 2pm, with entry by donation.
The event will showcase other emergency services vehicles alongside charity stalls.
The promotional poster names Changing Lives Nepal and The Fire Fighters Charity as causes being supported by the event.
People attending are being encouraged to make donations during the day.
Drivers are also being advised that traffic may be heavier for the duration of the truck pull, with a traffic management system due to be in place.
