A second round of funding has opened to support the repair and reuse of historic buildings across Devon.
The Heritage at Risk Capital Fund, backed by up to £15 million in investment, targets heritage sites in urgent need of conservation.
Last year’s funding round supported projects across Devon and elsewhere in England.
Emma Squire and Claudia Kenyatta, co-chief executives of Historic England, said: "With applications now open for a second round of funding through the Heritage at Risk Capital Fund, we are encouraging organisations across England to come forward with projects that can help secure the future of some of our most valued buildings.
"Historic buildings connect people to their local history and identity, while providing spaces that support wellbeing, pride and social connection.
"Through the Heritage at Risk Capital Fund, this investment will support places most in need, helping to repair and secure the future of some of our most valued heritage.
"By protecting these buildings and supporting their sustainable reuse, we can help communities unlock their potential for generations to come."
The funding scheme, part of a wider £75 million programme, supports urgent repairs, conservation work, project development, and adaptations to improve accessibility and sustainable reuse.
It is targeted at areas of greatest need where heritage investment can deliver social and economic benefits, and is delivered by Historic England and funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
Applicants can submit an Expression of Interest until June 14, 2026.
The fund is open to local authorities, charities, Community Interest Companies, Heritage Development Trusts, and other not-for-profit organisations with legal responsibility for the repair of an eligible building.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to submit a full application, with further funding rounds planned for later in the year and in future years.
Full eligibility criteria and application details are available on Historic England’s website.
