A rarely performed musical is taking centre stage in Exmouth.
Exmouth Musical Theatre Company (EMCo) will present Stephen Sondheim and George Furth’s ground-breaking show Company at The Blackmore Theatre from November 10 to 15, 2025.
It is set to be the first fully-staged EMCo musical there.
A Saturday matinee will take place at 2.30pm.
Chloë Faine, who is directing and designing the production, said: "It’s not often Devon audiences get the chance to see – or be a part of – Sondheim staged live.
"It’s been a long-held ambition of mine to bring this amazing show to life – Company is funny, unsettling and deeply human.
"It’s as relevant now as it was fifty years ago."
The production is under the musical direction of Angela Blackwell.
It marks the first time a fully staged musical will be performed for a public audience at The Blackmore Theatre.
The company was first staged on Broadway in 1970 and went on to win six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score and Best Lyrics.
Brad Curran will star as Bobby, returning to the EMCo stage after his recent performance as Joe in Sunset Boulevard.
Mr Curran said: "I’m thrilled to be taking on this seminal role.
"The cast around me is phenomenal – the level of talent and support within this company is inspiring."
