Police are appealing for residents to check their doorbell and CCTV footage after a number of burglaries in Exmouth and Clyst St Mary.
Officers were called to a report of a burglary from a property on St Margaret’s View, Exmouth, in which the keys to a blue Audi A4 car, with a registration number of SE70BYA, were taken and the car stolen.
It has also been reported that a white Vauxhall Vivaro van was stolen under similar circumstances from a property on Bradham Lane, Exmouth. Its registration is DV62XKA.
At around 1.15am, police received reports of a burglary at Knobblies Bike Shop, on Exeter Road, Exmouth, in which seven high-value bikes were taken from the business.
Further reports of the contents of a van being broken and its shelving ripped out which was later found at Phear Park, Exmouth
And a attempted break-in at Rydon Motors, in Clyst St Mary.
Detective Inspector Guy Biggar said: “We are currently investigating a number of burglaries that have all taken place overnight from Monday 25 November to Tuesday 26 November.
“It is not clear that they are all linked but as part of our investigation we are asking for residents in these areas to check their personal CCTV or doorbell cameras to see if they have any footage which may help with our enquiries.”
