Organisers of the Budleigh Salterton Carnival have been busy making preparations for the procession which takes place next Saturday.
The procession will start from Seachange, along the Seafront and up the High Street back to Seachange via Station Road taking place on Saturday October 5 from 7pm.
The carnival was stopped during the COVID pandemic but returned in 2022 and 2023. A fun fair used to be held during the carnival, but that won't be taking place this year.
Budleigh Carnival Club has been busy this year, attending Sidmouth Carnival on Saturday with their Willy Wonka-inspired float and the Budleigh Carnival Royalty Float.
Organiser Mike Hilliar says: "We always look forward to seeing the bright lights, sounds and smells of carnival.
"In 2023 we even created our first ever royalty float and we look forward to bringing this back in 2024 which has already featured on the East Devon Carnival circuit.
"We hope everyone will enjoy this year's carnival. We do ask people are kind, clean and courteous. To keep Budleigh clean and be nice to the marshalls who are implementing roadblocks while the procession makes its way through town."
