In a heart-warming tale, staff at an Exmouth care home ensured a resident could attend her granddaughter's wedding.
Saskia had believed her beloved grandmother, Jose, would be unable to attend her wedding, due to her being a resident at Raleigh Manor care home.
However, dedicated staff members stepped in, creating a plan to get Jose to the wedding.
Accompanied by a carer and transported in the care home's mini-bus, Jose had the joy of witnessing her granddaughter get married on a beautiful summer day.
Gill Pratt, general manager at the home, said: "We couldn’t let this occasion pass without trying to get Jose there if we could.
"Jose looked so perfect when we waved her off, a proud Grandma.
"Making this wish come true was a heart-warming moment that we will all cherish forever."
Raleigh Manor, managed by Barchester Healthcare, delivers personalised care to 60-plus residents.
