A coffee morning at an Exmouth care home has raised nearly £120 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Residents, family members, friends and staff attended the event at the Homestead Care Home, with many contributing home-made cakes.
During the morning they shared stories and experiences, emphasising the importance of supporting those affected by cancer and the work of organisations like Macmillan. The event raised £119.80.
Manager Clare Titley said: “The residents themselves selected this charity, and the team was thrilled to unite for a cause close to their hearts.
"Residents expressed particular enjoyment in the variety of cakes brought in and found it heart-warming to witness everyone coming together for a good cause, raising a significant amount in the process."
One family member said: "It was just lovely to see mum actively participating in meaningful activities and the satisfaction it brings to be involved and contribute to such a noble cause. Mum has really come along since joining the Homestead for day care.”
