Seachange has been hosting wonderful nature walks every other week.

The non-profit, run by volunteers, organises walks on alternate Tuesdays from 10am until 12.30pm.

Their outings, which are free of charge, are spearheaded by volunteer David.

The walks typically follow a scenic route where trekkers often encounter beautifully arrayed woodlands.

On the latest trip, the guided walk embarked from the vicinity of Colaton Raleigh church, showing off the region's rich biodiversity with early blooming wildflowers.

The journey then took participants through forests laden with wild garlic before coming upon the River Otter.

An originally intended crossing was rerouted due to bridge renovations, however, quick thinking ensured the walk proceeded without a hitch.

Further along the altered path, trekkers passed Dotton Farm and the uniquely named Monkey Lane.

The path also led attendees through Naps Lane and Pound Lane.

Exmouth Journal:

The walk, which extended over four miles due to necessary detours, concluded at Hawkerland Road.

The popularity of these guided nature walks remains strong with two scheduled upcoming walks.

On May 7, walkers will traverse Dalditch Common, followed by Woodbury Castle on May 28.

These walks provide a fantastic opportunity for nature enthusiasts to appreciate the rich English countryside while socialising with fellow walkers.

To join one of these walks, bookings can be directed to katheryn@seachangedevon.co.uk at Seachange.
