Drivers are facing long delays on the A14 after a vehicle broke down on the Orwell Bridge.
Police were called to the incident in the eastbound carriageway at about 9.50am on Wednesday.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said officers are currently at the scene in lane one of the carriageway.
According to the AA Traffic Map there are long delays in the area.
