Exmouth Town Crier Roger Bourgein has had his trike stolen from Exmouth Railway Station.

The bike was parked at the train station in the cycle parking. He says it was last seen being 'pedalled furiously along Marine Drive heading out of Exmouth.'

Mr Bourgein says the trike was the only one in Exmouth, and is used by him to get around Exmouth and get to events as town crier.

Roger told the Journal: "I parked the bike outside the station and locked it up, then caught a train and a friend informed me that he had seen the trike being pedalled out of Exmouth. My friend knew it was mine as it is very unique.

He says the bike is electric and hard to pedal on its own. He is devastated at the loss but the Exmouth community have come out to support him.

The theft has been reported to the police, who Roger says they are currently investigating.
