Exmouth's National Coastwatch Institution Coastwatch House has now been demolished.
Building control considered the NCI building dangerous and found it had become severely undermined and unrepairable, following the storm damage, so it was decided to demolish the building.
A strong spring tide during Storm Kathleen washed the foundations to the building away, once the damage was accessed it was decided to condemn and demolish the building.
Knocking down the building started on Tuesday and by Friday morning, Gilpin Demolition Company were making the finishing touches to ground level foundations of the building.
The building was used as a base for the St John's Ambulance Service until it was taken over by the NCI, who used it as a training hub, and a place for RNLI lifeguards in the summer months. When it was condemned, they moved all their possessions out into staff's garages emptied the building before it was demolished.
East Devon District Council (EDDC) has been working with NCI Exmouth throughout, and EDD say they 'thank them for their assistance, and we sympathise with them over the loss of this building.'
A spokesman for EDDC said: "The Harbour View slipway was also damaged in the storm and is currently out of commission but EDDC is aiming to carry out temporary repairs so that it can be used for the summer season, with permanent repairs in the Autumn under phase two of the works."
