A resident of Ashfield Care Home in Exmouth celebrated her 101st birthday on Saturday, April 6, with a family party.
Hilda Sawdon was joined by her daughter, granddaughters and great-grandsons for a birthday tea with other residents and staff.
Debbie Forrest, the care home's wellbeing development coordinator, said: "Daz and Steff the singers came in and sang for her as their gift to her, and then we had a birthday cake, afternoon tea catered by our wonderful chef Bee, and presents.
"Hilda had many cards and presents from friends and relatives, but I think she was most thrilled with the toy dog!
"Hilda says her long life is due to plenty of exercise – her favourite story is that her Mum always said to her 'when you walk don’t run' - and being able to hold a good conversation.
"She says Ashfield is a happy place and she loves it here."
