Some would say an aerobics session in the gym is challenging enough - but a group of local women swapped their exercise mats for the chilly water off Exmouth beach.
The sea aerobics session was organised by Exmouth Quakers and took place on Saturday, March 2.
The women were buffeted by the waves as they completed a 10-minute exercise routine to raise money and awareness for the Devon-based domestic abuse charity FearFree. It works to break the cycle of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking by providing support for victims and their families, as well as help for perpetrators who want to stop their abusive behaviour. The sea aerobics session raised £120 for the charity.
A spokesperson for Exmouth Quakers said: "The event was a lot of fun and it was wonderful listening to the laughter, whoops and shrieks of the aerobics group. The homemade cake and hot chocolate afterwards was well earned!"
