The body of a man was located in Topsham on Sunday, February 25.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
Formal identification is due to take place.
The family of Mathew Stickland, 56, from Exeter, who was reported missing on Wednesday, February 24, have been made aware.
