Bay Road to Bell Street, Otterton has now re-opened after a power cable fell into the road earlier today (Feb 16).
Western Power have fixed the cable and police have re-opened the road, but they are still asking people to 'allow extra time' because of traffic congestion.
Devon and Cornwall Police temporarily closed Ladram Road both ways from Bay Road to Bell Street due to fallen power cable earlier today.
A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Please avoid the area towards Ladram Bay Holiday Park in Otterton due to live power cable across the road.
"Western Power have been informed and are on route."
There is a large build up of traffic so please avoid unnecessary travel.
The police log number for this incident is 283 16/2.
