New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of East Devon’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

Masons Arms, a pub, bar or nightclub at The Masons Arms, Branscombe, Seaton was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 9.

And High Tide, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Infusion Art Cafe, Beacon Hill, Exmouth was also given a score of five on January 17.

Ratings are a snapshot of the standards of food hygiene found at the time of inspection. It is the responsibility of the business to comply with food hygiene law at all times.

The scheme gives businesses a rating from 5 to 0 which is displayed at their premises and online.
