Exmouth’s Surf & Turf Restaurant has been put up for sale.

The leasehold property in High Street is on the market for £44,500, and is described as a business with ‘tremendous potential’.

It is still open and will continue trading as normal until a buyer is found.

The restaurant is being marketed by Stonesmith of Exeter, who specialise in licensed catering and hospitality businesses in the South West. They say it’s a ‘popular and well-regarded licensed restaurant’ and that the premises ‘have benefitted from continued investment and expenditure, with a recent refurbishment and being purposefully fitted and equipped and presented to an extremely high standard throughout’.

The property agent says the restaurant ‘occupies a lucrative and prime trading position’ with free on-street parking directly outside. The listing describes the spacious dining area, the bar servery and the kitchen which is ‘fitted and equipped to a high specification’.

Stonesmith points out that the current owners have traded with deliberately restricted opening hours, just four or five evenings per week depending on the time of year, and that incoming operators could ‘develop a style of trade to suit their own requirements’.

The property listing concludes that ‘the sale of the restaurant is an opportunity to purchase a well-regarded 'turnkey' business with an excellent reputation and undoubtedly offers tremendous potential for new owners to put their own stamp on the business and for further growth in trade’.
