Maddogs MMA Academy, based in Exmouth, raised £800 for Hospiscare after the members trained continuously for 24 hours.

A spokesman said: “We trained non-stop for 24 hours, which was very tiring and demanding, but great fun. As a club, we collectively raised £800 for Hospiscare Devon.”

The non-profit-making sport club for all ages ploughs any extra cash back into the club or donates to charity. Members train on Tuesdays at Knappe Cross Community Centre, Brixington.
