Bay Court Nursing Home bring the garden inside for a keen gardener that is confined to his bed.
Robert Crump aged 78 suffers with mobility issues associated with a condition that has affected his back.
He was a gardener and handyman in Exmouth for most of his working life but came to live at Bay Court almost a year ago. His condition has confined him to his bed.
Activities coordinator, Annemarie Turner decided that if he couldn’t access the garden, she needed to bring the garden to him.
Members of staff brought in their struggling plants and cuttings so that Robert could continue to enjoy tending plants from his bed.
Annemarie said: “ It is so important to us all at Bay Court that residents are able and actively encouraged to continue to pursue their hobbies and interests whilst living with us.”
