Exmouth in Bloom held their annual Christmas celebration lunch, held at Ocean on Friday, (December 8).

The event was attended by 41 Exmouth in Bloom volunteers and supporters and Elaine Lewis, who has organised all workparties and planting days for the last seven years, was presented with an RHS Community Champion Award by National  Finals Judge, Geraldine King. 

Elaine’s contribution to the entry (this year there were 67 workparties and 2 planting days). On winning the award judges said: "Elaine paramount to our success and the award is thoroughly deserved.  Needless to say Elaine was speechless and modest in her acceptance of this prestigious award. "

The Town Crier and Mayor Councillor Olly Davey chatted to guests and spoke in praise of the Town’s achievements winning the double  Gold, in the Southwest and National Finals of the Bloom competition this year.
