Several schools in East Devon will not be opening tomorrow, (November 2), as the Met Office warns of a 'risk to life' as Storm Ciaran rolls in this evening, (November 1).

The Met Office is warning of heavy downpours and strong winds, with three yellow weather warnings between 6pm today and midnight tomorrow.

National Grid has put extra staff on alert to deal with any problems that could affect power supplies.

The Met Office has already put out a yellow rain warning covering the period from 6 pm today until midnight tomorrow and a wind warning from 9 pm today.
