New data released today (September 12) has revealed how long it takes between booking an appointment and seeing the GP in East Devon.
The data, compiled and shared by NHS Digital, shows how long it took patients to see a GP at surgeries across the district in July 2023.
The general practice with the best same-day times was the Axminster Medical Practice, where 4,682 patients were seen the same day they made their appointment.
Cranbrook Medical Practice only had 671 patients seen on the same day.
Our chart below shows how many people had an appointment the same day, between two and seven days, eight and 14 days, 15 and 21 days, 22 and 28 days and more than 28 days.
The GP with the highest amount of patients seen within 28 days was Honiton Surgery, with 1,689.
Monthly data has been made available to members of the public since November last year to allow patients will be able to make more informed choices on their GP practice.
