The grounds of Powderham Castle will be the setting for a fundraiser event on Sunday, July 23, to support young musicians in Devon.
Powderham Live! CIC is an organisation which uses rooms at the castle to provide workshops, jam sessions, mentor support and performance opportunities to help young people aged 13 to 19 develop their musical skills and build confidence.
The programme is currently on hold while the CIC raises funds and awareness. It will relaunch for 2023/24 in September this year.
The fundraiser event will run from 1pm until 5pm on Sunday 23. There will be live music all afternoon from musicians who have completed the programme. There will be a bar and a raffle, and – for VIP ticket holders - the chance of a rooftop tour of Powderham Castle with a glass of bubbly.
Ticket prices start at £6, and the CIC is also inviting donations from anyone who would like to support the programme but cannot attend the event.
